Burn out.... it's a serious subject. I have experienced many stages of it from mild to severe during one particularly challenging time. So many factors are involved that it takes some deep testing to sometimes find all the ways it is hiding. Scrambled or overwhelmed energies can be from the neurological disorganization that is caused from energies not crossing over, our fight and flight meridian of Triple Warmer overprotecting us and causing the involvement of adrenal stimulation to the point of depletion or true burn out. Irregular energies of frozen or lost meridians are usually found. Other systems like Radiant Circuits are often weak, pulling everything out of whack and making us feel wacky or so fatigued we can't get off the couch.
As indicated above, this is a big subject and I have a lot of personal experience with it as well as observations of clients. Donna Eden has often said we have a primary weakness when we get stressed will go out first. I know mine is the scrambled or overwhelmed energies that are often corrected with the Wayne Cook Posture. I have personally seen Donna and David demonstrate this powerful technique of how we affect others energies just by reading or speaking when in this scrambled state and it is kind of scary. I know so many times when I haven't made sense to others, couldn't take in any more information or couldn't hear others because one or both of us were in this state. How important that we stay clear by unscrambling our energies. This posture has proven effective for stuttering, dyslexia, ADD and increasing mental acuity.
I seem to have a string of clients lately that are testing weak on the reading eye test. I would say about 95%! The other interesting thing is the variety of corrections it takes to get them out of this imbalance. So I am going to address techniques I have used when the regular correction of Wayne Cook Posture isn't enough. If Wayne Cook (see Energy Medicine daily energy routine) doesn't correct, I have them do the alternative Tibetan Prayer Pose, twisting the arms and wrapping them up underneath the chin. Next, if no correction, I either have them do a Blow Out, with arms up above the head and deep breath out while arms come forcefully down or I will check for Triple Warmer Reactivity. This is getting more advanced now and I am talking to trained practitioners, but start with the other techniques described above. (Note: You can also try other daily routine exercises such as 4 Thumps, Hook Up and the Crown Pull to unscramble.)
If Triple Warmer reactivity, I have them hold the mudra of making a circle with the thumb over index fingernails, placed on temple and the other 3 fingers placed on the forehead. Then I do other corrections like Vortex Revival of spiraling counterclockwise energy at their feet, Tibetan Energy Rings, or rocking them while doing adrenal massage one inch above and to the side of the belly button. This is often intuitive. The last resort is that Triple Warmer is so exhausted with it's protective measures, that it needs to be strengthened. That is when the muscle test goes weak. Rare, as it is usually overcharged and needs sedating. I did need to use this recently with a client who would not correct with all the above until I strengthened TW. It just needed a boost. (Note: Anything not correcting at this point needs deeper work and is beyond the scope of this blog.)
Well, that is a lot of info in one paragraph, but as our society seems to get crazier by the moment, more and more people are in overwhelm. Here are some inconspicuous ways that I teach people to use at work to incorporate EEM in daily life.
- If you are losing it at a meeting or will be speaking soon, Cross you legs at the knee and if possible at the ankle too, then cross you arms at the wrist and place palm to palm with fingers laced together and rest them at the side of your lap.
- To stay calm in a stressful situation, take a hand and gently drag it behind the ear as if you were fixing your hair. Calms Triple Warmer.
- To calm and restore energies at meetings or anytime. Triple Warmer/Spleen Hug. One arm across body and one hand on the area just above the albow. Other arm across with hand just underneath the breast.
- To calm yourself when you can't calm the mind, place one hand with thumb on temple and other fingers on the forehead. Brings blood back to head to think more clearly. Can rest the elbow on the desk and no one will think you are doing energy medicine. ;-)
Good luck and I like to remember the words of Smokey the Bear, Only you can prevent Forest Fires. In other words, prevention is the key to lots of suffering. And the words from someone who has suffered burn out (me), it is much easier to take care of yourselves with the tools of Eden Energy Medicine than to fix this deep imbalance, especially if chronic. You are worth it.
